What is it?
The Tower is an apparatus unit attached to The Reformer.
A Pilates Tower is a vertical unit that uses a variety of attachments – a roll-down bar, arm springs, leg springs, and a pull-through (or push-through bar) – to provide a full body workout.
The Tower can be used on its own, or in conjunction WITH the Reformer that it’s attached to. It’s suitable for beginners as well as advanced clients.
the Tower is awesome
This apparatus will help you to sculpt sleek, lean, and strong muscles. Most Tower exercises focus on one area of the body at a time, making it easier to isolate muscle groups.
Your deep abdominals will learn to be super strong against the resistance of the springs, and your six pack will look chiselled. Almost all Pilates work involves the core. Therefore, over time people who do Pilates exercises ultimately develop a tighter waist, a healthier posture, and a visibly flatter midriff. It’s so good to feel strong and confident but imagine how good you’ll feel when you can showcase your sleek body in the summer months.
The Tower can help you to lose weight ( at least three sessions a week are advised if you’re aiming to shift some excess weight ).
Feeling stiff and achy from too much sitting or walking? Concerned about deteriorating posture? The Tower exercises can really help you to open the hips and lengthen the spine. A Tower class is guaranteed to leave you feeling taller and lighter.
As with all Pilates work, breathing is an essential principle. With a special emphasis on breathing during all your Tower exercises, you’ll feel relieved of stress and tension in your body. Breathing techniques can teach you how to concentrate and really stay focussed in the moment.
This makes Pilates like a moving meditation.
