What is the MOTR?
Think of the MOTR as the small cousin to the Reformer in that it has weight-tensioned ropes with handles.
Balanced Body, the maker of the MOTR, says, “It looks like a foam roller. But it’s more than a roller.” And they’re right!
MOTR benefits
When training on the MOTR, your whole body will be exercised in up to 8 different positions.
Your upper body will be strengthened and toned. Your lower body will be worked in functional movements. You can challenge your balance and agility and even whack it up a notch to do a high intensity HIIT style workout. It’s so versatile, and fun!
On the gentler side, the MOTR can be used to improve your core strength and improve flexibility and mobility as the apparatus can also be used as a foam roller and stretching aid.
The weight resistance ranges from 3-9lbs. Resistance helps to target specific muscle groups which will get you toned, get you stronger and improve your balance.
Sam likes to use the MOTR (where appropriate) for training clients in their home.
